New stores at Silver Lake Mall
Huckleberry Thicket, in the 3,500-square-foot place mostly known previously as Granny’s Buffet near Sears, will offer bakery items, ice cream and deli sandwiches, wraps, soups, salads, lasagna, quiche, spaghetti, tamale pie, daily specials and several breakfast options.
Bakery items include bread, sticky buns, cinnamon rolls, scones, cupcakes, muffins, pies, cheesecakes and dessert pizzas. The ice cream parlor potion will have yogurt, shakes, sundaes and cones with huckleberry as the feature flavor.
With four employees, hours will be 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sundays. The store emphasizes natural and organic ingredients.
Elle’s Northwest, in the 3,000-square-foot space that formerly housed Christopher & Banks women’s clothing, will offer wildlife items, jewelry and decor. The inventory will include stuffed animals, quilts, pictures, signs, posters, amber, silver, Black Hills gold, T-shirts, wool vests, leather jackets, wildlife pottery and candles. Specialties include many jams, jellies, syrups, honey and candies. Hours will be 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sundays.
