Northwest Specialty earns Top 100 spot

Northwest Specialty Hospital in Post Falls was named one of the nation’s “Top 100 Hospitals for Patient Experience” by the consumer group WomenCertified. Northwest Specialty also received the “Women’s Choice Award,” a seal of recommendation based upon outstanding patient service.
Hospitals were selected for the first annual list based on proprietary scores received on the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems. The assessment measures patient satisfaction and other standards identified as important to women. The score also factors in research results of a joint study with the University of Pennsylvania on customer satisfaction by gender.
“We are honored to be recognized by Women Certified as one of the four best hospitals in Idaho,” said Vaughn Ward, chief executive officer of NWSH. “Our staff is dedicated to exceeding the expectations of our patients and being recognized as a top hospital in patient experience is a competitive differentiator in today’s health-care marketplace.”
WomenCertified conducts female consumer satisfaction surveys and market research, provides referrals and awards businesses based upon multiple criteria identified as important to female consumers. Women drive or impact 85 percent of family health-care decisions, according to Delia Passi, founder of WomenCertified and former publisher of Working Mother and Working Women magazines.
