The Receptions will be held at the Chamber Building from 5-6:40 p.m. (100 minutes). Upbeat Breakfast: The Chamber’s Education Committee presents April’s Upbeat Breakfast, Tuesday, April 10. Alison Granier, M.D., from North Idaho Eye Institute will be the featured speaker. Upbeat Breakfast occurs the second Tuesday of every month at The Coeur d’Alene Resort. On average, about 150 members attend making it one of the most popular networking events in our community. Trade tables allow members to display their business and speak briefly about it to the group. The program features a different speaker each month, highlighting various topics of interest. Upbeat Breakfast — Oct. 11

The Coeur d’Alene Convention and Visitor’s Bureau presents October’s Upbeat Breakfast with guest speaker Karen Ballard, Administrator at the Idaho Department of Commerce on Oct. 11. Karen will be speaking about the state of Tourism in Idaho, in particular North Idaho and its effects on the economy. Karen joined the Idaho Division of Tourism for a newly created tourism development position in 1992. The job entailed expansion of international visitation to Idaho in collaboration with Montana, Wyoming and South Dakota through Rocky Mountain International. She was appointed the Administrator of Idaho State Tourism in November 2007.
